Timber sheds can be used in rural or urban areas. At Matt’s Homes, our timber sheds have a traditional look and feel that defies time. Timber Garden Sheds have been around for a long time and their natural wooden look blends well into most garden environments. Aesthetically, timber sheds are much more pleasing to the eye than a steel or metal shed.
There are various design structures and add-on’s that you can get with your new timber shed, such as windows, guttering, sub floors, steps and storage shelves. Our sheds come standard with environmentally non-arsenic based treated pine, steel framed door, yellow tongue flooring and gable finish cottage green Colorbond® roof with skylight. Read our blog to find out how to turn your timber shed into a garden feature.
Timber garden sheds are not only an aesthetically pleasing addition to your backyard, they are the perfect solution for your storage needs. Matt’s wooden sheds provide endless storage options – from storing bits and pieces that clutter up your home and garden, to neatly housing your bikes, tools, chemicals and lawnmower... the list is endless as to what you can store away safely and easily in your new outside haven.
Our sheds can be stained of painted to not only protect the timber but to keep your shed looking vibrant. Timber staining is designed for those of us who just want to enjoy tinkering in our shed, without having to spend lots of our time maintaining the outward appearance of it. Staining is generally easy to apply and can be brought as an additional purchase from Matt’s Homes or you can stain it yourself after you buy. The other option is to buy a timber shed with a natural finish and let it fade over time. Some people respond really well to that look, whilst for others staining their timber shed is the easiest option and will guarantee your shed will look good for years.
Our signature verandahs can add character and charm to all of our timber sheds. Sit down and relax outside your new home after a hard day's tinkering.
Matt’s Homes uses moisture resistant yellow tongue flooring on all its timber sheds. Moisture resistant yellow tongue flooring is designed to take water and is a sturdy base for all heavy equipment. Additionally, we use kiln dried treated pine joists and galvanised screws and nails to prevent rusting.
A timber garden shed sub floor is perfect for uneven sites, allowing the air to flow evenly underneath and prevent your shed from sitting in rain water or on wet ground.
Matt’s Homes allows you to custom design your timber shed. By adding windows, double doors, verandah and even 2.1m high walls the options are endless. We also have a range of different sizes available or alternatively let us know the size that you are after so we can custom make this for you. Please speak to one of our friendly staff to discuss your specific requirements.
